Sun and Shadow - Snow Daze in Oxford
Two Cans
Paint cans (used to hold down a blue tarp which covers up some maintenance supplies for the apartments) provided me with a different kind of snowy subject matter. We received our 1" of snow overnight on March 7th. The morning of the 8th. was a veritable little wonderland for me as it has not snowed here this much in about 3 years. The last "big" snow we had, which was about 6", was in 1998.

Nothing more pretty than fresh white snow in the sunlight. (not so pretty after 5 months of that da...rn white stuff ;) snow). Cool play on sun and shadow!
A treat to see all this snow, as we don't get any anymore. Dusty Lens, where do you live to get so much? I am going back to your blog to check. Like the use of the paint tins give the feeling of a land that has been painted white overnight. Great entry!
All of these are excellent, but I especially like the last one. Snow in Mississippi... That must be a rare occurrence. Meanwhile, further north but still south of the Mason-Dixon line, we had very little of the white stuff this winter. Go figure!
Snow makes such a mysterious type of light. it always seems to enhance the air somehow. Beautiful.
